I. Quiet but not strolling - This part is based on two folk songs 'Digo Janeto' and 'Avèn un bèu Castèu' played on a bourdon accompaniment with an incorporated canonic theme.II. Alert - This part is based on the popular song 'Sur le Pont d'Avignon'.III. Slightly rocking - An original lullaby with flexible instrumentation.IV. Lively and Cheerful - This part is based on the beautiful folksong 'Lou roussignoû que volo'; the composer uses the band as if it were one big tambourin.This work obtained a Second Prize at the International Composition Contest at Hilvarenbeek, The Netherlands in 1976.
