This is a selection of several dances related to the Scottish HORNPIPE. The hornpipe is an old traditional sailor's dance which used to be very popular in the British Isles. It is music full of spirit skillfully arranged for symphonic band. The percussion plays a very important role and should preferably be placed on a higher platform. If possible all clarinets should play the same part, though additional easy parts for 2nd and 3rd clarinet are included.
