The composer Edvard Grieg (1843-1907) is regarded as Norway’s the most important composer and for a large part can be regarded as a miniaturist. He has written famous works such as the Piano Concerto in A minor, the two Peer Gynt suites and the ten keyboard collections Lyrical Pieces. The medley Grieg Highlights uses three of his well-known works: The Piano Concerto in A-minor, Morning Music from Peer Gynt and Norwegian Dance no. 2 from opus 35.
