Geistliche Musik
Twentieth century musician Ernest Walker was more widely known as a writer on music, educator, pianist and accompanist than as a composer, though his, mainly Choral, output is respected. Walker eschewed sentimentality ortheatrical show in his compositions. His conservative style had room for chromatic harmony, as in I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes.
