Description

Orlando Lassus, also known as Orlando Di Lasso, (c. 1530 - 1594) was a Flemish Renaissance composer whose work is considered second only to that of Palestrina and Victoria. He was a master of both Sacred andSecular compositions, creating over 2000 musical works. Many of these, including his setting of the Stabat Mater, have been researched and edited by Clive Wearing.

Clive Wearing (b. 1938)is a British musician, conductor and musicologist. He sang as a Lay Clerk at Westminster Cathedral for many years, and founded several choirs which have helped to bring about a new interest and appreciation of the works ofmanyRenaissance composers.
